Vinyl Sunday – Grateful Dead August 16th

My first experience at a Dead Show was in high school. It was New Years Eve at the Oakland Coliseum. I never made it inside, because my miracle never came, but I knew this was a community I would get to know and like. I saw a Dead cover band in college, and that is when I started to experience the “Love”. Everyone was so friendly (and high as kites) and let the music move them every which way.

The first time I experienced a show was in Las Vegas. It was such a scene, and the free spirits were in full force. The music reminds me of a happy time, and some great fun. I have had so much fun hunting for all the great records they put out. Of living the nostalgia. I can’t wait to fill the room with “Estimated Prophet” or “Cumberland Blues”.
