A couple Vinyl Sundays ago, a patron at Cantine Winepub came up to me while I was spinning vinyl Reggae and said, “I have a box of vinyl records at my house that I need to get rid of. Do you want them? ” Long story short, he brought me his unwanted stack and turns out there were some GEMS! Elton John (which he had a story about meeting him in San Diego), Dusty Springfield, show tunes, country, opera etc. When the night was dying down, I started to go through the stack and what fun we had listing to the random collection. We decided to have a night where folks could bring down their favorites from their stack and I would play them. I know how much joy I get going through the records, taking them out of the sleeves, checking out the liner notes, and listening to the needle click on to the first track. I can’t wait to hear what people bring, I know I will pick some of my favorites to share!
